I'm not interested in showing off my figure when in my foulies (who, after all, has a figure in foulies?!) The adjustable waist band is "nice" but not a must have. so I think I'll leave them at the default/biggest setting because the last thing I want on the boat is a distraction. Suddenly I was more concerned with whether they'd come undone, than with what I was doing. I wore them into the kitchen tonight and reached up to the top shelf and heard that velcro rip that's so familiar. I'm also wondering about the usefulness of the velcro shoulder adjusters. ![]() I confess to being enamoured of the ankle-cuff closure on the HL TP2 so these new pant-leg cuffs will take some getting used to. I like the hand-warmer pockets and the added chest-pocket. ![]() Well, they certainly are light! I'm with Ohf Shore in confessing a bit of disbelief. The final sale, however, went to Mark at because his price was the best I could find. The Hobart gear was designed with the help of Derek Hatfield of Spirit of Canada and I respect his opinions so I would be biased toward thinking he'd give good input.Ĭredit for the sale of the Hobarts goes to Ohf Shore and to Jim at They were both great. A soft-spot for GUL because they're supporters of Spirit of Canada's Open 60 campaignĦ. Same strength of fabric as the heavier-weightĥ. ![]() Lighter-weight fabric which is a plus for me since I don't want to lug extra ounces around the boatĤ. Everyone associated with GUL that I spoke with in my search was responsive and available for my questions.ģ. I love my GUL ladies' ION drysuit and my GUL Ballistic spray top so how could I go wrong with more GULĢ. I settled on the GUL Hobart salopettes (men's) for a number of reasons:ġ. This thread mentioned a few names that helped me research what else was out there. Wore through and ended up ripping a hole through my beloved HL TP2 salopettes after probably close to 7 years' solid use.
